The GolfBuddy Tour offers a number of features that help you take your golf game to the next level. The score tracking feature, for example, lets you record up to 1,000 rounds, and includes tags for the course and date. This helps you calculate your handicap and track your progress over time. The GolfBuddy Tour also calculates the actual distance you hit with each club--a critical component for lowering your scores. Just mark your starting position, hit your shot, and walk to where the ball landed. And to help you improve your course management skills, the GolfBuddy Tour tracks your distance from the green (front, center, and back) at all times and the distance of all in-play hazards. The unit lists every item that can affect your play, even if you can't see it from your present location. The GolfBuddy Tour even provides the lay-up (approach) and carry distances for each hazard, so you'll know how to effectively bypass the ponds and sand traps that lay in wait.

I wanted to buy the Golf Buddy, but it DOES NOT SUPPORT THE MAC/iMAC family.

I bought a Golf Buddy Tour and used it for three days. The first day the distances seemed to be inaccurate. The second day I measured from known spots on the course and got reading from 25 yards too high to 20 yards too low. I then called Golf Buddy and through the internet we “updated” the software and the targets the Golf Buddy used. I then used the Golf Buddy for the third day. The errors on each hole were different but were still averageing about 10 to 15 yards off (either high or low) and the worst error was 25 yards. I think the targets that Golf Buddy uses are wrong. The unit is simply not usable and I sent it back. Fortunatly Amazon is giving me my money back.

IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE ON YOUR GAME, YOU SHOULD CONSIDER PURCHASING SOME SORT OF GPS UNIT, AS THIS WILL HELP AND AID YOU IN MAKING THE THE RIGHT CLUB SELECTION. I RECOMMEND THE GOLF BUDDY TOUR GPS RANGE FINDER AS IT IS VERY SIMPLE TO USE AND NAVIGATE. HAVING THIS UNIT IS LIKE HAVING A CADDY WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES.

I purchased this product for my husband. I was a little hesitant at first because he is far sighted and I wasn’t sure if he would be able to see the numbers on the display. To my surprise you can adjust the brightness and tweak the settings and he can see them just fine. He said it is absolutely helpful in showing him the distance to the pin for him to choose the right club without second guessing. He carries it with him all the time when we play, no matter which course we are playing. I would definitely recommend this product!
